Achieving Your Potential, a cognitive/ behavioral change program designed by The Pacific Institute for prisoners, reinforces concepts learned in meditation and teaches and motivates participants to
- Identify and change dysfunctional and criminal thinking and behavior
- Change negative beliefs about themselves, others and society
- Become more effective and comfortable in dealing with others
- Set and achieve goals.

POTOSI CORRECTIONAL CENTER PROGRAMS
GED Program (eliminated at PCC by state budget cuts) enables students to
- Become more aware of their intelligence
- Increase their skills in reading, writing, and math
- Earn their GEDs
- Share their knowledge with others.

Adult Basic Education and ESL for students who need basic literacy skills or a knowledge of English as another language.
Continuing Ed Program for students who have completed high school or a GED, provides introductory courses in subjects chosen by the students themselves, such as Ethics, Literature, Economics, Intro to Psychology, Intro to Communication, Managing Conflict.

Ad-Seg Program for prisoners in solitary confinement and/or administrative segregation (ad-seg) to assist them in transitioning into communal housing units. Students learn:
- Mindfulness-based stress management
- Anger management
- Cognitive behavioral change.
